A 12-Week Journey in Resilience, Joy & Creative Presence
Work with Amanda 1-1 in the program.
Application only and start dates mutually agreed.
Not through learning more techniques or forcing yourself to write more pages.
But through presence. Compassion. Connection to what matters most.
This 12-week mindfulness mentoring program offers you a different kind of space — one where we explore not what you're writing, but who you are as a writer and how you show up to the page.
Through mindfulness practices and reflective enquiry, you'll develop the inner resources to write with greater ease, authenticity, and joy, no matter what life brings.
You're feeling burned out, blocked, or disconnected from your creative practice
You struggle with perfectionism that keeps you from finishing anything
Your inner critic is so loud you can barely hear your own voice
You're navigating life transitions that impact your ability to write
You want to develop a more sustainable, joyful relationship with your craft
You're tired of feeling like you're at war with yourself when you sit down to write
You feel called to write with greater authenticity and heart
You're ready to explore the deeper questions of why and how you create
This isn't a traditional writing course. There's no workshopping, no manuscript feedback, no reading and sharing of work. It's a space where we explore the inner landscape of being a writer and cultivate the qualities that support a resilient and joyful creative life.
Guided meditations and embodied practices to ground us in presence and connect us to the sessions and each other.
Deep dive into the week's theme through readings, questioning, and reflections about the lived experience of being a writer.
Sharing experiences, challenges, and insights through deep listening, reflective questioning, and sharing of wisdom.
Outside of sessions you'll receive optional daily meditation practices, reflective writing prompts and recommended reads.
Through these twelve weeks together, you'll develop:
Greater Presence — The ability to meet the page and your life with more awareness and acceptance
Resilience — Skills to navigate creative challenges, rejection, and inner obstacles with grace
Self-Compassion — A kinder, more supportive relationship with yourself and your creative process
Authenticity — Clearer connection to your unique voice and vision
Joy — Renewed delight in the act of writing itself, beyond outcomes or achievement
Sustainable Practice — Tools to maintain a writing life that nourishes rather than depletes you

This program follows the ancient Buddhist tradition of dana (generosity practice).
To join, you'll pay a £150 deposit to secure your place and demonstrate commitment to the work (can be paid in two instalments of £75 each).
At the end, you'll offer an additional dana payment of your choice based on the value you've received and your financial circumstances.
This might be more than the deposit. It might be the same. It might be less. Whatever is appropriate for your situation. There's no judgement, no minimum, no expectation beyond honest reflection on what feels right for you.
Payment for the program in this way honours both the value of this work and the reality that we all have different financial circumstances. Most importantly, it ensures that anyone who would truly benefit from this program can access it while creating a field of generosity and mutual support.

Not at all. This program welcomes both complete beginners and those with established practices. All you need is openness and willingness to explore.
Yes. Whether you write fiction, memoir, poetry, creative nonfiction, or are still discovering your form, this work applies to any creative practice.
Perfect. This program is actually ideal for writers who feel stuck, blocked, or disconnected from their practice. We're working on the foundation — your relationship with writing — which makes everything else possible.
The live meetings will be an hour long and held every fortnight at a mutually agreeable time. Between sessions, you'll have optional daily practices and reflective prompts. You can engage as deeply or lightly in these as your schedule allows.
After our final session, I'll share guidance about the dana practice and invite you to reflect on what feels right for you. You'll then make your offering directly to me.
