Quantum Flash

Where Science Meets Spirituality in Experimental Fiction

A 6-week flash fiction course exploring reality-bending concepts as creative inspiration

  • Starts: 2nd February 2026

  • Cost: £200 or 2 instalments of £110 each

  • For up to 15 writers

What happens when quantum physics meets ancient wisdom? When cutting-edge research aligns with spiritual teachings humanity has carried for millennia? And most importantly for writers — how do we use these mind-expanding concepts to create fiction that breaks every rule we thought we knew about storytelling?

Quantum Flash is for flash fiction writers ready to experiment with narrative structures inspired by science and spirituality. Over six fun and inspiring weeks, we'll use concepts from quantum mechanics, consciousness research, and ancient wisdom traditions as creative constraints for pushing flash fiction into uncharted territory.

The Course Journey

🌌 Week 1: Multiverse Theory & Soul Paths Explore quantum many-worlds theory alongside spiritual concepts of soul contracts. Write flash fiction where the same essence experiences different incarnation choices simultaneously.

🧠 Week 2: The Mandela Effect & Collective Consciousness Use mass false memories and morphic resonance as narrative techniques. Create stories where spiritual shifts change what "everyone remembers."

✨ Week 3: Near Death Experiences & Bardo States Combine clinical death research and personal NDE stories with Tibetan teachings on consciousness transitions. Craft stories existing in threshold spaces between worlds.

🔗 Week 4: Quantum Entanglement & Soul Connections Apply "spooky action at a distance" to soul family concepts. Write characters inexplicably connected across impossible distances and times.

🔊 Week 5: Cymatics & Sacred Geometry Use sound-pattern creation and sacred mantras as story architecture. Develop narratives following vibrational and geometric structures.

🕉️ Week 6: Non-Duality & Unity Consciousness Explore observer-observed unity in quantum physics and Advaita Vedanta. Create flash where character/reader/story boundaries dissolve.

Amanda Saint

Course tutor

Amanda is fascinated with exploring the nature of reality through the intersection of science, consciousness, and ancient wisdom, and how that can be used in storytelling. As the founder of The Mindful Writer, she guides writers beyond conventional narrative boundaries into territories where science meets spirituality and stories become vehicles for expanded awareness.

Amanda's original "Experiments in Flash" course used fractals, holographic universe theory, and Hopi prophecies as inspiration. Now she brings her studies in quantum theories, non-dual philosophy, and ancient wisdom traditions to Quantum Flash — scientific and spiritual insights become tools for revolutionary storytelling.

Amanda is the author of two novels, As If I Were A River (2016) and Remember Tomorrow (2019), and a novella-in-flash, Pressure Drop (2024). Her short fiction has been widely published and won awards. As the publisher of WestWord literary journal, she champions innovative storytelling approaches that create positive human connection.

Amanda is a Level One Usui Holy Fire Reiki III practitioner. She holds a Diploma in Journal Therapy and is currently studying Life Coaching, Positive Psychology, and Metaphysics. This unique combination of spiritual practice and literary craft informs her teaching.
