Become enchanted with life through your words

A mindful writing practice community for women who want to discover the sacred in the ordinary through the stories they tell about themselves and our world.

What happens here

Sangha is a Buddhist word for spiritual community. A circle of practice. A place to gather with shared intention, to witness each other, to grow together. A Writing Sangha brings this same spirit of supportive practice to our lives. You don't need to consider yourself a writer to join — you only need an interest in using writing as part of mindful living.

This is a women-only space where we use writing to become more awake to our lives. To explore them with curiosity and tenderness. A place where you're not alone with your questions, your struggles, your joys, your growth. Where we hold each other through the practice, witnessing without judgement, celebrating without comparison.

A place to become more fully ourselves as we gather around the virtual firepit together.

What makes this sangha?

We practice together regularly

We hold space with compassion

We witness without critique

The practice IS the point

Your relationship with writing becomes natural

No more pressure. No more waiting until you're good enough. Just the simple act of noticing your life, your thoughts, your dreams and longings, and putting words to it all. Learning to trust your voice is enough.

Your relationship with yourself becomes kinder

When you write with presence everything shifts. You meet your emotions with gentleness. You question the stories you've been telling about who you are. You befriend the parts of yourself you've been trying to fix.

Your relationship with the world becomes more alive

When you practice noticing your life you become more present everywhere. More compassionate with yourself and others. More able to find peace in difficulty. More enchanted by the ordinary.

“With each year I am able to dig deeper into where the writing comes from, able to meet the page with greater authenticity — a process I deeply value. I trust Amanda as my guide and mentor." — Fran

Holding Space for Your Sangha

Amanda Saint

Amanda is the founder of The Mindful Writer, the author of three novels, an award-winning publisher, and has spent many years learning to become enchanted with life no matter what's going on.

She's been teaching creative writing for 15 years, but what she's really teaching is how to pay attention. How to notice that your ordinary life is a thing of wondrous beauty, even when it’s hard.

An accredited mindfulness mentor, meditation teacher, journal therapist, and Reiki practitioner, she practices what she's inviting you into. Writing from her own life and showing up to the page with the same questions you bring to yours.

This Sangha is her life's work. Everything she's learned about presence, about story, about becoming enchanted with an ordinary life is here, in this Sangha, waiting for you.

"Amanda not only listens well, but she also shares back with compassion what helps you listen more deeply and honestly to where you have come from and where you are going, so that you are fully felt, seen, and heard." — Patty

Questions you might be asking

What if I'm not a writer?

This isn't about being a writer — it's about being awake to your life. Beginners and experienced writers practice together here.

How much time will I need to commit each week?

One hour weekly for Writing Hours and 90 minutes once a month for Writing Sangha Circle. Optional community engagement throughout the week. This is designed to be nourishing, not overwhelming.

What if I can't attend live?

All sessions are recorded but the magic happens in live practice — in showing up, in witnessing each other, in the alchemy of writing in community.

What if I'm already in the Year of Mindful Writing?

They complement each other beautifully. YOMW provides time-limited structure and craft focus. Writing Sangha provides ongoing practice, community and transformation.

Is this therapy?

No. This is a mindfulness practice community. While the practice is deeply supportive, it's not a substitute for mental health care.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. No refunds for unused time are available.
